The Penn State Alumni AssociationWhat’s been happening: A lot has happened since graduating from Penn State. I never imagined the life I would end up leading. I spent 9 years in the Air Force, and met my husband there. After leaving the Air Force I stayed home to raise two children and accompany my husband(a fighter pilot)on assignments to 5 different states including Hawaii, and two overseas assignments to Spain and Germany. We managed to do a lot of overseas and US travel. I have been to 12 different countries and to 33 states. During the time he was in the service I did income taxes for H & R Block, and taught income tax class. He retired in 1999 in Alabama and I was working for Delta airlines as a reservation agent. We did some traveling until his final illness. I retired from Delta in 2008. My son is a Staff Sergeant in the Marines; he and his wife and my grandaughter live in MO. My daughter is a high school English teacher in Alabama. In June of 2008 I moved back to PA to be near my family and return to four season weather. |
